NEW HEROES II
The series of photographs entitled “New Heroes” captures the spirit of those who have been forgotten by society. By taking portraits of the homeless in heroic poses against a bright blue sky, the photographer reminds us that everyone deserves recognition. The photographs draw from the classic style of religious paintings, which often depict saints in heroic poses. By using this style, the photographer is able to elevate the status of the homeless and to make a statement about the importance of recognizing them as fellow human beings. “New Heroes” is a powerful reminder that no matter our situation in life, we all deserve to be seen and respected.
